The second season of Reiji Miyajima’s Rent-A-Girlfriend is confirmed to start airing in July. The TV anime’s official website released the news as well as a teaser visual on January 14. In addition, DMM Picture’s official YouTube channel uploaded the 2nd teaser PV on the same day.

The 30-second teaser confirmed the return of the main cast from Rent-A-Girlfriend season one. Kazuya Kinoshita, the series’s protagonist, is affectionately called to by four attractive girls. The story follows the adventures of Kazuya as he tries out an online dating app that allows the user to rent girlfriends. Things start to get complicated when Kazuya finds himself involved with multiple girls from the dating site.
The teaser visual unveiled on the anime’s official website features the four heroines: Chizuru Mizuhara voiced by Sora Amamiya, Mami Nanami voiced by Aoi Yuki, Ruka Sarashina voiced by Nao Toyama, and Sumi Sakurasawa voiced by Rie Takahashi.
In addition, author Miyajima drew and uploaded an illustration welcoming the new season. Here’s the image:
The Rent-A-Girlfriend manga currently has 24 volumes and is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine. The first volume was released in 2017. Season one of the anime adaptation first aired in 2020 and had a total of 12 episodes. It can be streamed on anime streaming sites such as Crunchyroll.
