The world of anime is a truly fascinating phenomenon filled with various genres and storylines. Although the majority of genres in the world of anime (and manga) are identical to those in Western art, there are some that are specific to Japanese animation. Most of them are rarely present in the West, while some are present, but usually under different names. In today’s article, we at Fiction Horizon have decided to focus on the ecchi genre, delivering to you a list of the 30 best ecchi anime you can watch.

Ecchi is an often-used slang term in the Japanese language for playfully sexual actions. As an adjective, it is used with the meaning of “sexy”, “dirty” or “naughty”; as a verb, ecchi suru means “to have sex” or, as a noun, to describe someone of lascivious behavior. It is softer than the Japanese word ero and does not imply perversion in the way hentai does.

The word is used throughout the world within fandoms to describe vaguely sexual nuances, associations, and themes: in Western culture, it is used prominently to distinguish between authentic pornography (hentai) and the more playful and softened (less explicit) use of sexualized images. While in Japan the term ecchi can be used to indicate sexual intercourse specifically, this is excluded from the definition given in the West.

The works considered as ecchi therefore never mimic real sexual intercourse in any way and do not show the genitals: instead, it is up to the reader’s imagination to complete and fill these “holes”. They are then often found together with the fan service, to make the whole situation even more fun and light; this kind of sexual-like nuances or themes is also sometimes found in shōnen and seinen comedies and harem-style anime.

You’re going to get some basic information on the shows themselves, their production, and a short synopsis for each of them. As the site is not adult-oriented, we are not going to include the explicit screenshots here, thus keeping the article clean, but you’ll be able to explore the shows themselves and see for yourselves why they’re on our list.

However, he cannot choose between Ako and Riko, who always try to seduce him by all means. Unfortunately, things are not going so well for him at school either and so the final exams are a big hurdle for him.

However, he finds supports in his sisters who, albeit not without ulterior motives, accept and teach him as part of his preparation for the exams. However, this seldom allows him to learn, because after all, Ako and Riko continue to seek his favor. So when he is not being “harassed” by his sisters at home, he is confronted with three other female characters at school who play an essential role in the plot.

The busty Meganekko Miharu Mikuni, who has a reserved and somewhat anxious personality, involuntarily becomes entangled in the relationships between Keita and his sisters. In various embarrassing moments when she loses control of her bladder, the two of them often come closer to each other. As a result, always nervous in his vicinity, various perverse ideas come to mind.

In contrast to Miharu, the younger Mikazuki Kiryū hunts Keita directly and uses the opportunity to present herself in a conspicuous and stimulating manner in front of him, which also earns Keita the reputation of a Lolicon. At the same time, Ako and Riko see her as a strong competitor, as they imagine that Keita is attracted to big-breasted, older women.
