A Full Trailer for Chapelwaite Series, Based on Stephen King’s Jerusalem’s Lot story
Epix has just released the full trailer and poster for the Chapelwaite series, which is based on Stephen King’s short story Jerusalem’s Lot. The series ’creators, screenwriters, showrunners and executive producers are Peter Filardi (The Craft, Flatliners) and his brother Jason Filardi (Bringing Down the House). Other executive producers are Adrien Brody who also plays one of the lead roles, Donald DeLine (Ready Player One, Wayward Pines) and Burr Steers. The directors are Burr Steers (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), Rachel Leiterman (Lost in Space, Man in the High Castle), Michael Nankin (Van Helsing, The Exorcist) and Jeff Renfroe (Killjoys, The Hardy Boys). The series was produced by EPIX Studios.
The premise of the series mostly sticks to King’s story. Boone inherits the old estate from his last surviving cousin and decides to start a new life in the ancestral family villa, a dilapidated building known to the locals as Chapelwaite. Sounds inside the walls lead him to discover other secrets of the Boone family dating back to the Puritan era, witchcraft, superstition, ancient curses and original sin – and the missing community of the biblical nickname Jerusalem’s Lot.
Starring the already mentioned Adrien Brody (Peaky Blinders, The Grand Budapest Hotel), Emily Hampshire (12 Monkeys, Schitt’s Creek), Jennifer Ens, Sirena Gulamgaus (Orphan Black, Transplant), Ian Ho (A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting, A Simple Favor), Gord Rand (The Handmaid’s Tale, Pure), Trina Corkhum (Diggstown, Pure) and Genevieve DeGraves (Jupiter’s Legacy, Let It Snow).
Chapelwaite consists of a total of ten episodes and arrives on Epix on August 22nd.
