You probably know that SPY×FAMILY has become a household name under Shonen Jump, blending comedy, action, and heartfelt drama. It quickly won over fans and critics alike. After five years, it’s hard to find someone who hasn’t at least heard about how good SPY×FAMILY is.

But now, another standout Shonen Jump series, Kindergarten Wars, by You Chiba, has been making waves for similar reasons. It features spies, assassins, and thrilling action, all wrapped up with humor and romance. Given these shared themes, Kindergarten Wars feels like a spiritual successor to SPY×FAMILY, which only adds to its appeal.

While an official announcement wasn’t made at Jump Festa 2025, Shonen Jump+ is holding a special art exhibit next spring to mark its 10th anniversary. Since Kindergarten Wars will be featured, this could be the perfect moment to confirm the anime.
