The most recent Absolute Batman comic book series by DC legend Scott Snyder has been one controversial outing, but that’s Snyder for you – if it’s not something new and bold, he won’t do it. And that is why everyone loves him, i.e., why his comic books are so popular, especially the New 52 stories.

While the new Batman caused a lot of controversy online, we still have to see how the story will develop, but however it ends, the fans will have a lot to talk about. One aspect that caused a lot of talk is Batman’s new Batmobile, which is going to be at the center of this report.

We know that the Batmobile has been part of the lore for decades, and while its design has changed over the years, Snyder has made a big (literally) change this time over, and he has now revealed what inspired him to craft his crazy new Batmobile.

In case you’re not completely up-to-date, Absolute Batman is a new alternative universe storyline that has been officially described as follows: “BATMAN LEGEND SCOTT SNYDER AND ICONIC ARTIST NICK DRAGOTTA TRANSFORM THE DARK KNIGHT’S TALE FOR THE MODERN AGE! Without the mansion… without the money… without the butler… what’s left is the Absolute Dark Knight!

It is a completely new take on the Dark Knight mythos, and knowing Snyder as an artist, this will be a crazy storyline that will push the world of Batman to yet another limit. Snyder is an author who knows how to craft a storyline that takes the limits further and further, and he is an author who likes to see how far he can go, which is why the series has fans excited.

Among the changes in the series is the change to Batman’s Batmobile, which is now a gigantic vehicle that resembles a monster truck more than anything else; it is definitely not a car anymore. Here, take a look:

The images show off this fortress on wheels, and while the design is original and different from what we’re used to seeing, it has been inspired by a version of the Batmobile we’ve seen in Batman: The Cult, a classic storyline that the fans love. This was actually confirmed by Scott Snyder himself via X:

As you can see, the two designs aren’t the same, but they are very similar, and we’re glad that Snyder actually confirmed the inspiration for this design.

Be that as it may, we can expect an epic continuation of #1 of Absolute Batman in the second issue, which will be released on November 12, and we’re quite excited. As said, we don’t know what Snyder has planned, but knowing him, the series will be absolutely crazy and will push the limits of Batman’s world even further.
