Crossovers are something we generally like to see. Despite the fact that they are generally not considered to be canon, they are often interesting and they often give us an alternative story that we so desperately wanted to see. Both DC and Marvel publish crossover stories from time to time, and this report is about a new Marvel crossover that is heading our way.
The story that we are going to focus on is not new per se, as it is a continuation of a series of crossovers between Marvel and one of the most popular film franchises of all time. Some of you might already know what we are talking about and it is the Predator series, whose third Marvel crossover is coming up next year.
Namely, the final pages of Predator vs. Black Panther #4 conclude the story of that mini-series, but they also set up the future for a new crossover, which is confirmed to be coming our way next year! Keep reading if you want to know more!
You probably know about Predator vs. Wolverine and Aliens vs. Avengers, two popular crossover series that combined Marvel’s popular comic book characters with two famous film series, both sci-fi and horror.
As you can imagine, the clash between Marvel’s heroes and two of the most deadly movie characters of all time was an epic one, and it only makes sense that Marvel wanted to continue in that direction.
Currently, we’ve read the ending of the Predator vs. Black Panther mini-series, whose final issue saw the Predators lose their battle against Black Panther, but they did get their hands on the Vibranium they desired so much.
The ending of the comic shows the Predator King sitting on his throne, foreshadowing a new and even more dangerous invasion of Earth in the future.
And if you continue reading, you will see the following cover:
As you can see, another crossover series is in the works, ready for a 2025 release, with the tagline: “The Predators aren’t done wreaking havoc on the Marvel Universe…” Their next target, as you can see on this variant cover, is Spider-Man. As you can see from the image, Benjamin Percy returns to write another Predator vs. story, with artist Marcelo Ferreira joining him.
No specific release date has been given, but the series is coming next year and we hope that it will arrive soon, as we are very much excited to see who will win in this epic clash between one of Marvel’s most popular characters and one of the most dangerous and skilled fictional characters ever made. We will keep you updated as soon as more information is available!
