Actress Anya Chalotra, best known for her mesmerizing portrayal of Yennefer in ‘The Witcher’ TV show and other captivating roles, has recently been announced as the latest addition to the cast of ‘Creature Commandos,’ an animated series set to premiere on HBO Max in 2024. Fans of the talented actress will be thrilled to know she will be lending her voice to the intriguing character, Circe.

So, what exactly is ‘Creature Commandos’? This forthcoming series, produced by giants DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation, introduces us to a black ops team composed entirely of monsters. These monsters aren’t your everyday sort, though. Assembled by the formidable Amanda Waller, the Creature Commandos is not your average superhero team.

The creation and direction of this promising series is in the trusted hands of James Gunn, who’s penned all seven episodes. And if you’re familiar with Gunn’s previous work, you can expect this series to bring a fresh perspective to the DC Universe (DCU).

But Anya isn’t the only big name tied to this project. Other cast members include the likes of Frank Grillo, who portrays Rick Flag Sr., the team’s leader and father to the leader of the Suicide Squad. The series will also feature Maria Bakalova, David Harbour (as the charming Eric Frankenstein), Zoë Chao, Alan Tudyk, Sean Gunn (who will voice both G.I. Robot and Weasel), Indira Varma, and Steve Agee. Not to forget, Viola Davis will be reprising her iconic role as Amanda Waller.
