Larian Studios isn’t finished with ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ yet. Next year, they’re rolling out Patch 8, bringing cross-play, a photo mode, and 12 new subclasses.
Cross-play means we can team up with friends on PlayStation, Xbox, Mac, and PC. No more platform barriers; just seamless adventuring across Faerûn.
The new photo mode offers tools to capture our journey. We can adjust camera angles, tweak settings, and even add stickers and frames to our shots.
Each class gets a fresh subclass:
- Bard: College of Glamour
- Barbarian: Path of Giants
- Cleric: Death Domain
- Druid: Circle of Stars
- Paladin: Oath of the Crown
- Fighter: Arcane Archer
- Monk: Drunken Master
- Ranger: Swarmkeeper
- Rogue: Swashbuckler
- Sorcerer: Shadow Magic
- Warlock: Hexblade
- Wizard: Bladesinging
Before the full release, Larian plans a stress test in early January. It’s our chance to try these features and provide feedback.
Larian’s commitment to enhancing ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ shows they’re listening to us. With these updates, our adventures in Faerûn are set to become even more immersive.
