Ranker is a popular place on the Internet where people can rank whatever they want, however, they want, and whenever they want. This is always a fan-focused ranking system, and it is never officially tied to the people behind the projects in question. Recently, a large survey was organized on Ranker, whose goal was to determine the best superhero TV shows. The list includes a total of 150 shows, but in our report, we have decided to list the top ten best series from the site to provide you with better insight, combined with our original comments and opinions, which will add flavor to the whole report.

Of course, since this is indeed an important list, we have decided to report on it, so we are going to bring you the results by listing the top 10 best shows on this list, from 10th to first place, with the first one being the absolute best. We hope you’ll enjoy it!

10. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The original TMNT series was originally on #11 and would not have made the list, but read our explanation at #4 to see why it ended up here. Anyway, the original series is an animated classic that is still considered to be one of the best 80s/90s cartoons, cementing the cult classic status of the four legendary turtles. This is a much-beloved work and we totally agree with it being here on this list.

9. The Punisher

The Punisher was a great series, and it tied in well with the other Marvel shows, but with such tough competition, we’re honestly surprised that it made the top 10 when the likes of Loki, Gotham, or The Flash did not make it. But, we’re glad that it is here as it was a very popular series with a very interesting protagonist, who was excellently played by Jon Bernthal.

8. Batman Beyond

The sequel to the main DiniVerse animated series, Batman Beyond was a groundbreaking and revolutionary series at the time. It wasn’t as popular as TAS due to it being something brand new (Terry McGinnis was first introduced there), but it has become a cult classic since then. There is no doubt that both the storytelling and animation were so great that the series deserves to be on this list.

7. Spider-Man

Of course, the classic 90s Spider-Man series absolutely had to be there. This was Marvel’s attempt to rival the groundbreaking DC animated series of the time, and they were quite successful. Spider-Man is now a piece of history and a beloved animated series that raised several generations, becoming a timeless classic and a series that absolutely deserves to be on this list as well.

6. The Boys

The Boys is actually the second live-action title on this list, as animated shows are dominating this list, and for a good reason. But The Boys is something else. It is amazing, subversive, and utterly brilliant, which is why the fans love it so much and why it absolutely deserves to be here among these animated classics. Plus, the series is something else and it simply had to end up here.

5. X-Men: The Animated Series

Alongside Spider-Man, this series was absolutely the best Marvel produced in the 90s, and with the series currently being continued, we can understand how it reached the #5 spot on this list. But, aside from that, it is a really great show with amazing characters and some of the best storytelling we’ve seen in superhero (animated) shows, which is why we completely agree.

4. Justice League

These cartoons were really popular back in the day, in the early 00s, building on the success of the Batman and Superman animated series. This one is still loved by many fans around the world, and while it’s not as popular as TAS, this series is still regarded as a proper classic and is a prime example of how to do the Justice League… justice (pun intended). Please note that this listing includes both the Justice League series and the Justice League Unlimited series (originally #10 on the list), as they are one single narrative unit.

3. Superman & Lois

And while Superman & Lois definitely is a great show, we’re kind of surprised that it ended up in the top 10 and on spot #3. This is a positive shock, but it seems that the fans really like it a lot. It has a great story and some amazing actors, and the fact that it is ending soon probably incited the fans to upvote it this much, but we won’t be complaining very much.

2. Daredevil

We think that absolutely everyone will agree that Daredevil is Marvel’s best live-action show. Led by Charlie Cox’s inspired interpretation, the series became a proper classic and one of the most beloved superhero series of all time. The cast is amazing, the stories have been great, and that is why this series absolutely deserves to be so high on this list.

1. Batman: The Animated Series

Was there any doubt that this one would make it to the #1 spot? Batman: The Animated Series is the superhero series, the best and most authentic one there is. Bruce Timm provided the high production values, while Paul Dini contributed with the unforgettable storylines we still love. Batman: The Animated Series is not just the best superhero show of all time, it is one of the best TV shows of all time in general.
