Black Summoner is a Japanese light novel series written by Doufu Mayoi and illustrated by Kurogin. It began publishing online on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō novel publishing website in October 2014. An anime adaptation of the series by Satelight premiered on July 9, 2022 and is currently one of the more talked-about shows within the community. Kelvin wakes up to find that Sera, Melfina, and Rion have snuck into his bed. Kelvin decides that for his own safety, Rion, Elly and Luca need to level up, so with his ability to share XP he increases their levels without them having to fight. He also tames a pet Shadow Wolf for Rion whom she names Alex. Uld, another adventurer, joins them in a dungeon with his group who is killing monsters for their B-Rank promotion exam.
Unfortunately, Sera and Gerard already killed all the monsters. Kelvin learns that the guild master, Leo, has proposed him for an S-rank promotion exam. For several weeks, Rion trains until she is a capable fighter. One night, 14 assassins enter Kelvin’s lands and he allows Rion and Alex to fight them as a test.
The assassins, former teammates of Christoph, seek revenge against Kelvin, but Rion defeats them while Kelvin captures his leader. Elsewhere, the Emperor of Trycen is disappointed in Christoph’s failure, as exposing him is an international embarrassment for Trycen, especially when the kingdoms of Gawn, Toraj, and Deramis are considering forming an alliance against them.
Prince Azgrad and General Tristan vote to go to war immediately, General Dan and Princess Shutola vote to wait for better conditions to start a war. The tie-breaking vote is left to General Clive, who is absent due to his hedonistic appetite.
Where to watch Black Summoner Episode 12?
The only place where you can watch Black Summoner on a regular basis is Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll offers the series regularly through simulcast, but you’ll have to watch it in Japanese, with English subtitles. Other streaming services do offer Black Summoner as well, but the episodes are not updated regularly so you won’t be able to watch the latest ones. Also, do remember that Crunchyroll does not offer Black Summoner episodes in every region of the world.
