The Blake Lively / Justin Baldoni Feud Continues as the Actor Publishes a Letter to All Survivors of Domestic Abuse
You may recall that we have been reporting on the release of It Ends with Us, starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, who also directed the movie. The movie is based on a best-selling book by Colleen Hoover, and while it received generally mixed reviews, the movie earned a solid amount of money at the box office, and it can be described as a small hit.
At the same time, the movie has been filling the headlines not because of its cinematic aspects but because it launched a feud between Lively and Baldoni. Lively accused Baldoni of abusive and inappropriate behavior on the set, while some fans accused Lively of being manipulative and taking advantage of the movie to promote herself.
And just when you thought that it’s all calmed down, Baldoni published an online letter, and an unlikely person replied to it, sparking yet another debate online as to who is to blame in this needless feud.
Long story short, Lively and Baldoni supposedly had a major clash on set or something similar, which led to Baldoni not appearing during the film’s promo tour, despite being its director and male star. Baldoni – who has back problems – supposedly asked how much Blake Lively weighed before doing a scene where he had to lift her in the air, to which Lively got offended as she felt Baldoni was fat-shaming her; also, she claimed that Baldoni went on to kiss her too long after the scenes were done, which she felt was inappropriate. At the same time, some fans called Lively petty and narcissistic. On top of that, many of the haters criticized Lively for her “usurpation” of the movie, claiming that she was marketing a complex story as a simple rom-com, which angered a lot of fans of the book, and that she was using the movie to promote herself.
And while the truth is always somewhere in the middle, this turned out to be a grand affair. Recently, Baldoni published an online letter in support of domestic abuse victims, in which he wrote the following:
Dear Survivor,
You embody resilience and courage, qualities that shine bright even on the darkest days. In the tapestry of your life, each thread tells a story of endurance, strength, and hope. Every step forward you take, no matter how small, is a declaration of your unyielding spirit and an inspiration to others. You may not always see the impact you have, but your journey encourages and motivates, lighting the path for those of us still searching for the light. While I can never fully understand your pain and all you have endured, I want you to know that you are never alone in this fight. We are with you. You are not just surviving; you are thriving, and in your thriving, you inspire us all. May your journey forward be filled with moments of profound peace. And may you remember that as you fight for joy…you are liberating us all.
Sending you gratitude, strength, and love. @justinbaldoni#SurvivorLoveLetter

While this is all fine and dandy, a popular Hollywood insider, DanielRPK, decided to react to this on Twitter in what we consider a very surprising decision on his side, saying the following:
Saying that after what he did to Blake Lively on set is crazy. Not to mention hiring a PR crisis management firm to defame her https://t.co/dFrvqmwMTe
