‘Blood Blockade Battlefront’ Manga Will Get an Omnibus Release in July

Dark Horse Comics is releasing Blood Blockade Battlefront in an omnibus format on July 15. The first volume will combine the first three original volumes and include the first chapter of volume four, titled ‘E-Den of Master Fighters’.
The manga, created by Yasuhiro Nightow, is set in Hellsalem’s Lot—a magical city that was once New York City. This city is trapped under a powerful barrier to stop dangerous creatures from escaping.
Inside the bubble, people live with various monsters and superhumans working to keep the peace. But someone is threatening to break the barrier and cause chaos in the outside world. A young man with special eyes steps up to protect everyone.
Nightow first released a one-shot version of the story in 2008, then turned it into a three-part mini-series the following year. The series ran in Jump SQ magazines from 2010 to 2015, before moving to Jump SQ Crown and then to Jump SQ RISE.
The manga has 10 volumes under Blood Blockade Battlefront and 10 more under its sequel series Blood Blockade Battlefront Back 2 Back. In 2022, a third season titled Blood Blockade Battlefront Beat 3 Peat started, with the third volume published in 2025.
There are two anime seasons for the series. The first aired in 2015, and the second came in 2017. Funimation streamed both seasons with English subtitles and dubs, and Crunchyroll also streamed the second season.
Pre-orders for the omnibus are already available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other retailers.
