Boruto: Naruto Next Generations fans are probably used to seeing drama between Boruto and Kawaki, given their omnipresent rivalry. The latest teaser to episode 228 reveals more drama between Boruto and Kawaki as Chunin exams are in full swing. In the meantime, Sasuke’s and Sakura’s daughter, Sarada Uchiha, already earned her level Chunin.

Episode “Team 7’s Last Mission” revealed Sarada’s promotion and changes to her team as she became captain. Fans could also witness Konohamaru no longer being the captain and Sarada missing him in the team. The episode also featured Sasuke and Sakura in the light of Sarada’s promotion to level Chunin.

The episode was packed with emotions as Team 7 had their last mission with Konohamaru as the name of the episode reveals. Boruto fans will now have a chance to witness Sarada’s leadership as she takes on Team 7 as the new team captain. The next episode, 228, already got its release date and will be available for fans on Funimation and Crunchyroll.

The new episode 228 will be aired on December 12th, 2021, once again featuring the rivalry between Boruto and Kawaki. The episode is titled “Kawaki’s Path of Becoming a Ninja.” The episode will air around the world and will also be available on Hulu. Users with premium accounts on Crunchyroll will be able to watch the episode on the release date.
