The MCU, after effectively combining its films into a single-narrative fictional universe, has now spread to television, with a number of shows becoming a part of the official MCU canon.

Naturally, there is a lot of effort involved in managing so many storylines and characters, which is why learning more about the process of creating this universe is always fascinating.

Marvel producer Brand Winderbaum addressed Agatha All Along, which is currently showing, and addressed a number of intriguing topics in a recent interview. A lot of interesting topics were discussed in the interview, and in this report, we are going to reveal one interesting aspect.

Namely, we know that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is the first proper Marvel series and it featured well-known MCU characters and references. But the series is not part of the official MCU label and canon, which is somewhat confusing, so Brad Winderbaum was actually asked what the canon status of the series is. If you want to know the answer, keep reading our report!

As stated, the ScreenRant interview was a very interesting one, and among the questions discussed was the canon status of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. This is a beloved series, as Winderbaum himself confirmed, and we are now going to reveal what he actually said about the series:

What do you what are the chances that Agents of SHIELD can be canon? Because it fits really well into the MCU

Brad Winderbaum: I think that Agents of SHIELD is a really great show and there was a long time where some of the best reveals in that show were during the Winter Soldier era where Hydra emerges and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ I remember that feeling, even knowing what was happening, just being a fan, [going] ‘It really is connected!’

I think that there is, in a crazy way, like you said, it does feel like it fits into The Multiverse Saga in an incredible way. I want to go down this road with you, you know I do, but we’re just gonna take a deep breath for a second. Just know that I love that cast, I love Clark Gregg and I love that show.

As you can see, this is a rather complex issue. Even for someone like Winderbaum, who has a say in what happens in the MCU, it remains challenging, as he is one of the main producers.

Overall, it’s disappointing that the canon status of the show has not been clarified. We hope this will be addressed soon. It would be great to discuss this beloved series as if it were part of the canon.
