Comic Natalie published a short interview with Seiichirō Yamashita on their website. In the excerpt, Yamashita shared a few words on his views on Cid Kagenou, the character he plays.
The Eminence in Shadow is about the adventures of the protagonist Cid who hails from a noble family. Cid’s goal in life is to become a shadowbroker, individuals who live under the radar but actually hold immense power.
Yamashita describes Cid as someone who pursues his goals to the point of insanity. He goes on to say that, in life, everyone has dreams they want to achieve, but no one would approach them the way Cid does. Yamashita tells Comic Natalie that there are a lot of comedic scenes that will leave you laughing and that everyone should look forward to watching the anime.
