Casting Call Reveals More Characters Coming to Netflix’s Live-Action ‘One Piece’ Season 2!

Casting Call Reveals More Characters Coming to Netflic's Live-Action 'One Piece' Season 2!

Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga became a massive hit, and the series is regarded as the best live-action adaptation of an anime to date, with fans eagerly awaiting more episodes. The series was extremely successful, and its renewal for a second season was more or less a sure thing. At this point in time, we know that the production of the second season is heavily underway and that the season will be released sometime in 2025. No official casting updates have been revealed, but we have recently written about some teases, and we now have information related to a casting call that reveals more characters who will most likely appear in Season 2! And there are some major characters, so you can look forward to the list!

Just to remind you, we have recently reported that both Chopper and Mr. 3 have been teased for the upcoming season, which makes sense knowing the plot of One Piece, but we are now ready to reveal the seven characters who will most likely appear in Season 2 as well.

1. Princess Vivi

Casting Call Info: Female (17-20), Middle Eastern/North African or South Asian

Princess Vivi of Arabasta is the daughter of Nefertari Cobra and the heiress to the throne of Arabasta. She became an ally of the Straw Hats during that arc and remains one of the most important supporting characters in the series. Her inclusion probably means that we are going to see Karoo this season as well.

2. Nico Robin

Nico Robin

Casting Call Info: Female (20-39), Hispanic/Latino

A former member of Baroque Works, Nico Robin will soon become a member of Luffy’s crew. She is an archeologist with a tragic backstory, as well as a powerful Devil Fruit user. Nico Robin is one of the most important characters in the series and will become a main character very soon, so her inclusion was expected.

3. Smoker

Casting Call Info: Male (25-35), White

Smoker is one of the most important Marines in the series, especially due to his being the mentor of Tashigi, who is also going to appear in the season. The age seems to be a bit off, as Smoker looks older, but we are going to see how all of that plays out. He will soon become a major rival of Luffy’s in the upcoming season.

4. Tashigi

One Piece: Are Kuina and Tashigi the Same Persono? Theories Explained!

Casting Call Info: Female (20-29), Asian

What Smoker is to Luffy, Tashigi is to Zoro. The two of them have a very dynamic relationship and are considered rivals, although Zoro is far superior to Tashigi in skills and abilities. It will be interesting to see how this will be portrayed in the live-action series.

5. Miss Valentine

Casting Call Info: Female (20-29), White

Now for the villains. Miss Valentine, also known as Mikita, is a former agent of Crocodile’s Baroque Works who is best known for being Mr. 5’s partner. She has eaten the Kiro Kiro no Mi, but while she was initially a dangerous foe, she was not a major problem for the Straw Hats in Arabasta.

6. Mr. 5

Casting Call Info: Male (20-29), Black

A major villain from Arabasta, Mr. 5 is one of Crocodile’s more powerful underlings. He is an important member of Baroque Works and is best known for his Bomu Bomu no Mi, a powerful Devil Fruit. Still, he was not a match for the Straw Hats. He worked with Miss Valentine.

7. Crocus

One Piece: Who is Crocus & What Happened to Him?

Casting Call Info: Male (65-79), Open

To be honest, this was a surprise! Sure, Crocus is an exceptionally important character but his inclusion so early in the live-action series is an early Christmas gift. We’ll have to see how this former member of Roger’s crew is incorporated into the story and whether that means that Silvers will also make his debut, but knowing that he is going to be there is good enough for us.
