As we recently learned, the upcoming fourth season of the Netflix series Castlevania will also be the last, and you can check out what exactly awaits us in the recently released trailer. In any case, the small screen series seems to be going in great style, with the best animation so far and even more blood and violence. The last ten episodes of the series on Netflix arrive as early as May 13th.

Wallachia falls into increasing chaos as factions clash: some try to take control, others try to bring Dracula back from the dead. No one is what they seem and no one can be trusted. This is a time that heralds the end.

Castlevania premiered on Netflix in 2017 with just four (fantastic) episodes of the first season. The first two seasons adapted the prequel Castlevania 3: Dracula’s Curse. The second season boasts a rating of as much as 100% on the Rotten Tomatoes page, and it also took home the IGN award for best animated series in 2018. The third season drew inspiration from two different video games: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness.

But even though Warren Ellis’ Castlevania ends there is a very real chance that we have not yet said goodbye to that world in its entirety. Reportedly, Netflix wants to get a new series on its feet with different characters that would be set in the same universe. We hope that this will really be realized and that we will find out more about this potential project as soon as possible.
