Charlie Cox Talks About Daredevil’s Future After ‘Born Again’

Charlie Cox is back in action as Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again, the Disney Plus revival of the hit Netflix series that ended in 2018. Fans can expect to see the Man Without Fear don his iconic costume once more as the show prepares to bring a fresh take on Matt Murdock’s story.
In an interview with SFX magazine, which features Daredevil: Born Again on its cover and hits shelves on January 29, Cox shared his excitement about returning to the role. “I feel rejuvenated and lucky and blessed that I’m still being given the opportunity to play this character,” he said.
“As an actor, it’s rare to get such a wide range of things to do. I get to be a lawyer, tackle emotional scenes with love interests, and then throw on the superhero suit and leap off rooftops. I love every part of it.”
Cox, who has played Daredevil for nearly a decade, expressed enthusiasm about the character’s continued evolution. “Normally, when you’re ten years into playing a character, things start winding down. But for us, it’s the opposite. I’m curious which will give out first—Marvel’s belief in us or our bodies!” he joked.
When asked about the possibility of Daredevil leading the Avengers one day, Cox didn’t hold back his excitement. “That would be awesome,” he said, fueling speculation about Matt Murdock’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
For now, the focus is on Daredevil: Born Again, which premieres on March 4 in the US and March 5 in the UK. To read more about the series and Cox’s thoughts, grab the latest issue of SFX magazine on January 29.
