CNN Is Working On a Series About the Lockerbie Bombing

CNN Originals will soon release a four-part documentary about the 1988 bombing of Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. The series, titled Lockerbie: The Bombing of Pan Am 103, dives into the mysterious attack that killed 270 people, including 190 Americans.
The series will premiere with two episodes on Sunday, February 16, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and the final two episodes will air the following Sunday, February 23, at the same time. It’s produced by Mindhouse Productions in partnership with Sky Studios and CNN Original Series.
Interviews with Lockerbie residents and family members of the victims are part of the documentary, shedding light on the emotional aftermath. The series also takes a closer look at the various theories about who was behind the bombing, following the conviction in 2000, but leaving many questions still unanswered.
CNN’s Amy Entelis said the documentary reflects their style of mixing emotional storytelling with investigative reporting. This bombing still haunts many, especially the families of those who lost loved ones. The attack was a major tragedy that captured the world’s attention at the time.
The Peacock series, Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, which also revisits the event, recently added more interest to the story. CNN’s documentary will be available for streaming on their website and apps starting February 16, with on-demand access beginning the next day for pay-TV subscribers.
The series is executive produced by Nancy Strang for Mindhouse, Poppy Dixon and Gilberte Phanor for Sky Studios, and Amy Entelis and Lyle Gamm for CNN Original Series.
