Day Shift: A First Look At A Netflix Movie In Which Foxx Plays A Vampire Slayer!
Netflix recently released a video looking at their rather impressive list of this year’s movie titles. One of them is the horror comedy Day Shift, starring Jamie Foxx (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Project Power) as a vampire slayer. In addition to the group video offering a couple of thumbnails from the film, the first official photo was also released. The film was directed by JJ Perry (The Fate of the Furious, Bloodshot) and written by Tyler Tice and Shay Hatten (John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum). Foxx is also an executive producer along with Datari Turner and Peter Baxter.
Foxx interprets a hardworking father who wants to ensure a good life for his daughter, but his daily job of cleaning the pool in the San Fernando Valley is a cover for his real source of income, searching for and killing vampires he makes as part of the International Hunters Federation.
With Foxx starring Dave Franco (The Disaster Artist), Snoop Dogg, Scott Adkins (The Expendables 2), Meagan Good (Shazam!), Karl Souza (How to Get Away with Murder), Eric Lange (Escape at Dannemora), Zion Broadnax (Sydney to the Max), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Voyeurs, The Society), Oliver Masucci (Dark, Enfant Terrible), Steve Howey (Shameless) and CS Lee (Dexter, Nora From Queens).
Day Shift on Netflix arrives later this year, and the exact arrival date will be revealed soon. And speaking of Netflix, Jamie Foxx and upcoming movies this year, it should be mentioned that the SF comedy They Cloned Tyrone is coming. The film is described as a pulpy SF mystery set around dealer Tyrone Fontaine (John Boyega), pimp Slick Charles (Foxx) and sex worker Yo-Yo (Teyonah Parris) as an unexpected trio who come together to investigate a series of gruesome events. warning of a vile conspiracy lurking in their neighborhood.
