Demon Slayer Episode 8 Season 2 Reveals a New Story Arc

Demon Slayer easily became one of the most appraised anime shows in the Shonen genre. Ever since the official release of the anime series in October 2020, Kimetsu No Yaiba managed to find a special place in the hearts of faithful viewers. The second season of the series officially aired a year after the first season, in 2021, and brought some of the most intense twists that we could already see in the Demon Slayer Movie: Mugen Train.

Demon Slayer – Kimetsu No Yaiba season 2 episode 7 left viewers with a cliffhanger

The first episodes in the second season followed the story arc that we already had a chance to see in Mugen Train, while episode 7 showed the aftermath and the defeat of the Flame Hashira. The seventh episode also showed Tanjiro’s new mission as the trio would head for the city to fight demons. This was at the same time the last episode that follows the arc of Mugen Train.

In the latest double-feature episode with a duration of 47 minutes, we had a chance to see a new story arc that includes Entertainment District and the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui. Perhaps not surprisingly, the 8th episode that was aired on December 5th is by far the lowest-ranked episode of Demon Slayer.

According to users’ reviews, the biggest problem in Demon Slayer’s double-feature seems to be the case of Uzui spanking a girl named Aoi. Fans are grossing out at the scene, wishing that it had been cut. Still, Tanjiro meddled with Uzui’s plan to use the girl to infiltrate the Entertainment District by using a little girl, which seems to have brought at least some consolation to fans.
