Studio Ghibli’s Ponyo was once on the same list in 2009, which would mean that Mugen Train is the first anime film to be featured on the DVD charts after 12 years. The fact certainly speaks in favor of the popularity of Demon Slayer film, anime series, and manga altogether.

Additionally, Demon Slayer Mugen Train sold nearly half-million copies on Blu-ray discs. This case makes Mugen Train the second-best in Blu-ray sales for 2021. The movie is only one place behind Disney’s Frozen from 2014. The limited edition of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train ranked as the fourth on Oricon’s DVD chart.

Mugen Train was originally released in Japan in October 2020, dominating Japan’s box office for 12 consecutive weeks. As Demon Slayer is breaking records, fans can indulge in new weekly episodes revolving around the Entertainment District arc.
