‘Doom: The Dark Ages’ Shines in Stunning Nvidia DLSS 4 Showcase
Nvidia has unveiled its new GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards, set to launch on January 30, 2025. These cards introduce DLSS 4 technology, featuring a Multi Frame Generation that can boost frame rates by creating up to three extra frames for each traditionally rendered one.
Among the 75 PC games supporting DLSS 4 at launch, including titles like ‘God of War Ragnarok’ and ‘Cyberpunk 2077’, is the upcoming ‘Doom: The Dark Ages’. This game, powered by the latest idTech engine, will utilize Nvidia’s advanced features to enhance visual quality and immersion.
Nvidia’s blog post highlights that ‘Doom: The Dark Ages’ will incorporate ray reconstruction and path tracing technologies, elevating the game’s visual fidelity for GeForce RTX users. Additionally, DLSS Super Resolution and enhanced Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing (DLAA) will be included to further improve image quality.
To showcase these advancements, Nvidia released a 12-second footage of ‘Doom: The Dark Ages’, providing a glimpse into the game’s environments and the enhanced graphics made possible by the new technology.
While ‘Doom: The Dark Ages’ is scheduled for release in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, an exact release date has not been announced. In the meantime, enthusiasts can look forward to experiencing the game’s enhanced visuals with Nvidia’s upcoming graphics cards.
