Have you ever wondered what would happen if the entire civilization would collapse and those who would remain would have to rebuild everything from scratch? You don’t need to wonder if you have been following up with Dr. Stone manga and anime series. Dr. Stone manga chapters are being regularly released, while the show has been renewed for season 3 right at the end of season 2.

Season 2 aired from January to March 2021, and the first season premiered in the summer of 2019. A trailer for the third season was released right after the season was confirmed, showing that Dr. Stone season 3 will air in 2022. Judging by the release patterns by far, that may either happen at the beginning of 2022 or more likely in the summer of 2022.

Crunchyroll Announces 6th Anime Awards

Dr. Stone anime is following the manga series, which means that the next season will revolve around the Age of Exploration arc that has already been written for the manga. The second season was focused on the Stone Age arc and the war between Senku and the villagers and Hyoga and his “superior” humans. Hence the title of the season, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars.

The Hyoga and Communications arc are completed with season 2, which means that Senku and the villagers are moving on to the next step of getting closer to the civilized world that Senku once knew more than 3,700 years ago. As the trailer reveals to some extent, the third season will have Senku and his crew build Perseus, a magnificent ship that will take them to the Age of Exploration.
