Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie is announced to be officially released in 2022 while the fandom is being teased with new visuals and a brand-new trailer. In the meantime, new voice actors were announced to join the cast and give their voices to the Red Ribbon Army characters. The news about the casting crew came at this year’s Jump Festa when the new trailer for the movie was also released on December 19th.
Miyu Irino, perhaps best known as the voice actor behind Haku in Ghibli’s Spirited Away will be giving the voice to the new leader of the organization, Dr. Head. Magenta, the president of the pharmaceutical company that has been secretly funding the organization will be voiced by Volcano Ota. Volcano Ota previously voiced a couple of characters from the Dragon Ball franchise, Tupper and Zirloin.
The voice of Carmine, Magenta’s chauffeur, will be given by Ryota Takeuchi, best known for playing Elias in The Ancient Magus’ Bride. Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 will be the movie’s main antagonists. Gamma 1 will be voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya, known for his role in The Attack on Titan as the ever-popular Levi Ackerman. Gamma 2 will be voiced by the famous actor and singer, Mamoru Miyano, who lent his voice to Light Yagami in Death Note.
The international date of release is not yet known, however, the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie will be premiered in Japan in April 2022. The producers of the movie recently announced that they are making an effort to cut the time between the Japanese and international releases.
