Norman Partridge’s horror novel Dark Harvest is getting a movie adaptation with David Slade (30 Days of Night, Hard Candy, Hannibal) directing, and now we have got new cast members joining the movie.
THR reported today that Elizabeth Reaser (The Haunting of Hill House), Luke Kirby (No Man of God) and Jeremy Davies (Hannibal) will star in Dark Harvest.
We know from before that Casey Likes (“The Birch”) and Emyri Crutchfield (“Tell Me Your Secrets”) have also signed on to star in Dark Harvest, which will be released by MGM on September 9, 2022.
Here is the synopsis of the novel Dark Harvest
“The book is set during Halloween of 1963 in a small Midwestern town where teenage boys eagerly square off with the butcher knife wielding October Boy, aka Ol’ Hacksaw Face aka Sawtooth Jack.”
Publishers Weekly named it one of the 100 best books of the year. It also won the 2006 Bram Stoker Award for Best Long Fiction, and has been nominated for two more awards in 2007
Norman Partridge (born May 28, 1958) is an American author of horror and mystery fiction. He has written two detective novels about retired boxer Jack Baddalach, Saguaro Riptide and The Ten Ounce Siesta. He is also the author of a Crow novel, The Crow: Wicked Prayer, which was adapted in 2005 into the fourth Crow movie, bearing the same name.
As things look like, this will be his second adaptation in the movie and we hope it will be a good one, ready for Halloween next year.
