Emily Blunt Could be Joining Cillian Murphy in Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’

Deadline reports that A Quiet Place star Emily Blunt is in talks to join Cillian Murphy in Christopher Nolan’s new movie called ‘Oppenheimer’.

If everything goes as planned, Blunt should be playing Katherine Vissering Oppenheimer, the wife of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the lead scientist on the Manhattan Project, who, unfortunately, brought the atomic bomb to the world.

Blunt’s A Quiet Place Part II co-star Cillian Murphy will be playing J. Robert Oppenheimer.

New Nolan’s movie, Oppenheimer, is scheduled to begin production in “early 2022”, and it should be ready for a release on July 21, 2023.

Recently, Blunt appeared in Disney’s Jungle Cruise, and before that, she reprised her role in A Quiet Place: Part II as Evelyn Abbott.

Oppenheimer will be the first Nolan’s movie after Tenet. Tenet was full of mind-breaking twists, as are a lot of his movies like Inception and Memento. Still, we don’t believe that will be the case with Oppenheimer, which will probably be a more straightforward movie, such as The Dark Knight trilogy or Dunkirk. Still, even though we don’t believe there will be a lot of sudden twists in this movie, with Nolan, anything is possible.

Oppenheimer will be an adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin.

Oppenheimer is set to release on July 21, 2023, and there will certainly be a lot more news about the movie until then.
