After the closure of the first reboot trilogy, it was announced – in April 2019 – that new movies are planned to be released in the future, set within the same universe, but many years later. The precise premise of the upcoming Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes movie is not known, but 20th Centuries Studios has released an official short teaser synopsis for the upcoming movie, and here is what they have revealed: “Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic, franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.

With the movie approaching its premiere, the majority of the cast members have been revealed. Although part of the same franchise, the movie is set many years after the initial trilogy, so it won’t be featuring returning characters. Here is the full official list as of the time of writing:
