An Intriguing Fan Theory Proposes a Great Solution for the MCU’s Kang Problem

An Intriguing Fan Theory Proposes a Great Solution for the MCU's Kang Problem

Do you remember Jonathan Majors, the promising actor who was slated to portray Kang in the MCU and be the “next Thanos” for the franchise? Indeed, as we recently reported, this man was found guilty of attacking his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, physically. As a result, he was sentenced to a 52-week in-person domestic violence intervention program and his career went down the drain.

Not only was he fired from the MCU as Kang, with the studio looking for a replacement, but his character was ultimately completely kicked out of the story and was replaced with Victor Von Doom, who is going to be played by Robert Downey Jr., as the legendary Oscar-winner is making his MCU return. And while no one is really missing Majors, his character – Kang – is a wholly different problem.

The MCU had been building its stories for a big clash between the Avengers and Kang, but that was now canceled or postponed, which left the MCU with a problem – what to do with Kang, now that we have seen him several projects? An interesting theory proposes a very intriguing solution!

The theory we have for you was proposed by Reddit user _mattforbes, who explained his theory as follows:

Fantastic Four could be set in the same universe in which all the Kang variants chose for Planet Kang or whatever planet they gather on in Quantumania.

Cold open of Fantastic Four is the same clip from Quantumania slide fo huge frame pull to space where we see Galactus eat the planet and kill all the Kangs. Boom. Galactus is established early as a major threat and no one needs to thread a Kang storyline.

This certainly seems interesting, and we’re not the only ones to think so. Here are some of the fan reactions to this theory:

I think it’s more likely they’ll show the threat level of Galactus by having him show up on Zenn-la and give us the Silver Surfer origin story. But IG technically they can always have Silver Surfer just give a flashback too. I think them showing the Galactus killing all the Kangs would be awesome and hilarious, but I think they’ll probably save that for the beginning of Doomsday.

Yea that’s cool, or I was thinking recreate the doom killing Thanos panel from secret wars, but with the Kang(s) instead

That would be really badass, but the general fan theory is (if they even address it cause they might not bother) that Doom will kill them all and assert himself as a dangerous threat.

Shouldn’t assume that the Kangs were on a planet or even in the normal timestream.

Remember, the TVA was built in a higher time dimension, enabling them to see a conceptual image of the timelines as thread.

I still think Kang will get a new actor and that was Marvel’s plan all along. For me Kang has always been an ally of Doom except that we haven’t seen him. I can’t imagine him making Kang disappear like magic.
