The Boys is one of the most popular superhero series in the world. The twisted take on the superhero genre, adapted from the comic book of the same name, became a major hit for Amazon Prime and a series that has pushed the boundaries of what can be shown on TV in more ways than one.

After four successful seasons and a spin-off series, the fifth season of The Boys is currently being worked on as the series prepares for its final season. Everyone has teased a shocking final season, and based on where the fourth season left us, we actually believe them.

While there are numerous questions that we actually have as far as Season 5 is concerned, the cast members have provided us with some hints regarding some of these questions in a recent interview with Variety. In this report, we are going to focus on the relationship between Frenchie and Kimiko, as Tomer Capote commented on the issue.

As you might know, the fourth season was notorious for changing and destabilizing the evolution of Kimiko and Frenchie’s relationship. Despite all the ramifications, Kimiko and Frenchie had been shipped together from the beginning. They appeared to be in love with one another because of their chemistry and the way Frenchie treated her. Furthermore, it was widely believed that the two of them were a couple, and nobody really questioned it.

But, as you know, Season 4 changed a lot in that aspect. First, we saw that Frenchie was actually in a relationship with a man – being either a homosexual or bisexual – and that further fueled the theories that Frenchie’s relationship with Kimiko was actually platonic. And while Kripke and everyone else rebuffed this by saying that Frenchie had been portrayed as an LGBT character from the beginning – meaning that the scene in question does not influence his relationship with Kimiko – the series caused another major issue when Kimiko’s kiss did not have a desired effect on a brainwashed Frenchie, who was ultimately taken away from the Boys, leaving his relationship with Kimiko with a major question mark. Here’s what Capote, who plays Frenchie, said:

What are your thoughts on where Season 4 ends for Frenchie and Kimiko after he’s taken away, and what you want to see happen in the final season?

TOMER CAPONE: Wow, can it be more exciting than that? It’s like a Romeo-and-Juliet-type of thing. It just makes me more curious, more hyped up, about what the amazing writers and Eric Kripke are cooking up for us for Season 5. It’s just one of those shows where every little detail can mess up the whole arc for a character.

I know the fans want it, and I’m screaming it out: There’s two things that Frenchie is missing, V — and to attend Herogasm. Frenchie and Kimiko will be all right, I think. But life will never be complete without another Herogasm for Frenchie.

This definitely an interesting answer that gives us hope that the final season will make things right in this aspect.
