Freyne’s ‘Eternity’ Starring Olsen, Teller, and Turner to Start Filming in May
Last month, we reported that David Freyne was set to direct a dystopian-type rom-com with A24 and that the movie was going to be titled Eternity. The story of the movie was described as a “romantic comedy where everyone must decide who they want to spend eternity with,” with the script being written by former Obama aide Pat Cunnane. At the time, this was all the official information we actually had about the upcoming movie, as a production date had not been revealed; a release window had not been revealed either.
But, it seems that A24 is fast-tracking the movie, as some new information about it has appeared. First of all, we know that Oscar-nominated producers Trevor White and Tim White from Star Thrower Entertainment will produce the film for A24, and it seems that we have a confirmed cast, as well as a filming date at this moment.
Earlier, we reported that Oscar-nominee Miles Teller (Whiplash, Top Gun: Maverick), MCU alumni Elizabeth Olsen, and Callum Turner (Fantastic Beasts) were all reportedly in talks to co-star in A24’s upcoming movie, but at the time, there was no official confirmation of this rumor. Now, we not only have a confirmation, but we also know that the actors are going to be playing characters named Larry, Joan, and Luke, respectively. We don’t know much about the characters, but the script of the movie has been published online last year, so if you want more details, you can check it out here. We don’t know if this is the final version of the script, though, so we’ll have to wait for the final product to see how much has changed.
On top of that, we also have confirmation that the movie is starting production in May 2024, when filming is supposed to start, so it could be that A24 is targeting a 2025 release date for this project.
