Matthew Perry is best known for playing witty Chandler Bing on the hit TV show Friends from 1994 until 2004. On his Twitter page, Perry posted a picture of his upcoming memoir, which will be released globally in November under the name Friends, Lovers And The Big Terrible Thing.
Perry admits he hardly remembers the last three seasons of Friends, during which time he was struggling with his addiction. He is candid now about his alcohol abuse and the consequences it had on his mental and physical health. Luckily, he has recovered and in October 2021, it was revealed that he had signed a deal with Publisher Flatiron Books, a division of Macmillan to write his memoir.
In his tweet, Perry writes: “I thought it was time people heard from me. The highs were high, the lows were low. But I have lived to tell the tale, even though at times it looked like I wouldn’t. And it’s all in here. I apologize it’s not a pop up book”
Perry has never shied away from opening up about his addiction, but now he will finally fully share his story with his fans – indubitably so with the touch of his wry, Chandler Bing humor.
