Disney+ is releasing Just Beyond, a horror-comedy anthology series created by Seth Grahame-Smith based on Boom! Studios’ graphic novel of the same name by R. L. Stine.

Earlier this year, Stine, who is best known for his Goosebumps and Fear Street series, confirmed that a TV show adaptation of Goosebumps is in the works also for Disney+.

Netflix also had a big success with releasing Stine’s three-part movie adaptation of Fear Street. People loved them, critics loved them and Fear Street director Leigh Janiak confirmed she has ideas for new movies.

Now, Stine talked with Comicbook about the planned Goosebumps TV show and about other projects he has in the future. He didn’t offer much about the Goosebumps TV show, but he suggested that there are “some other projects in the works.

Check out what he had to say in the interview:

“I have no updates on [the new Goosebumps series]. I have none. There’s some other projects in the works, one based on the teen novels that I did called ‘The Babysitter.‘ There were four books and I think those are in production for television. We keep moving, we just keep going and see what happens. But no, I’m sorry, I don’t have any more updates on the other [Goosebumps] show.”

As you can see, he confirmed that The Babysitter is in the works, but also, that other projects are coming.

For those who don’t know about his novel The Babysitter, you can find out more below.

Ellie Saks decides to spend the summer in a place of crazy parties, and in order to do so financially, she gets a job as a babysitter. The family is perfect at first glance, the town is teeming with young people and parties until threatening letters and packages start arriving. This is where disturbing things start to happen to her.

The Babysitter is a novel that belongs to the horror genre, but is not included in any of Stine’s series. The plot is completely separated, it has more mature characters and more extensive content, so it is interesting for both younger and audience older than 17. Stine managed to build a story full of intrigue and plot, shaping his characters three-dimensionally, and no longer just flat and clichéd.

We don’t yet have a release date for The Babysitter, don’t know who will act and don’t even know for now on which streaming service it will be shown.
