When Guy Ritchie makes his movies, fans know that they are in for an action-packed adventure with a lot of humor, as the English filmmaker has a very specific directorial approach that is always seen in his movies. His next project, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, is set to be released on April 19, 2024, and the movie has just released its first clip, giving us a glimpse at what we can expect from the film.
The movie is a spy action comedy based on the Churchill’s Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII novel by Damien Lewis. Ritchie is directing the movie from a script written by himself and Paul Tamasy, Eric Johnson, and Arash Amel.
Ahead of the upcoming premiere, Fandango has released an exclusive insight into the movie, as the first clip was released via their Twitter (now X) profile. You can check it out here:

As you can see, the movie does have some strong names attached and it seems that Ritchie has prepared for us yet another interesting movie that will see us entertained and laughing. The official synopsis, as provided by Lionsgate, reveals the following details about the movie’s plot:
Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming. The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.
All of this definitely has us hyped for the movie, so we’re looking forward to the premiere. While we wait, be sure to keep following us for all the latest news and updates here on Fiction Horizon.
