Haikyuu!, a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate, celebrates the 10th Anniversary of its release. The story mainly revolves around Shoyo Hinata, a boy determined to become a great volleyball player despite his small stature. As a part of the anniversary celebration, the franchise is working on some new ideas and returning with some new projects including a brand new one-shot manga release.
The manga’s final chapter described the lives of the characters years after graduating high school, which is a clear and definite happy end. Despite this, fans always tend to wish for more and no end is a happy end for people wishing the series lasts forever.
Well, now Haikyu!! fans can start celebrating too, because Weekly Shonen Jump officially announced that Haikyu!! will be returning for a brand new one-shot portraying what life is like for each of the characters in 2022. They’ll have stay patient, however, as the release date is yet unknown.
Along with this, Haikyu will give its fans a special commemorative art book, an exhibition for the series running in Japan, a collaboration with the actual V League and new art from Furudate himself.
The original manga is now complete and four seasons of the anime are now streaming on Crunchyroll.
