‘Harley Quinn’ Animated Series: Renewed for Season 5 with More Antics and Adventures

Big news for fans of the Max Original adult-animated series “Harley Quinn”! The much-loved show has been officially renewed for a fifth season. This announcement is a testament to the series’ growing popularity and critical acclaim.

In its fourth season, “Harley Quinn” continued to capture audiences with its unique blend of humor and heart. The series follows the titular character, voiced by Kaley Cuoco, as she embarks on a new chapter post her breakup with The Joker, voiced by Alan Tudyk. With the help of Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) and a group of DC outcasts, Harley navigates her way through Gotham City’s chaos.

The show has been praised for its sharp wit and dynamic storytelling. Critics from IGN have lauded it as “wildly ambitious and audacious,” highlighting the meticulous details in its animation. Collider hails the fourth season as being as “irreverent and funny as ever,” setting the stage for an explosive fifth season. The AV Club also chimed in, celebrating the series as an “excellent animated series” and praising its exceptional voice cast.

The series is a collaborative effort of Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions, Lorey Stories, Yes, Norman Productions, and Warner Bros. Animation.

Suzanna Makkos of Max and Adult Swim and Peter Girardi of Warner Bros. Animation both expressed their excitement. Makkos highlighted how the team continues to deliver fresh and inventive stories, while Girardi mentioned the series’ escalating comedic impact with each season.

The creators, Halpern, Schumacker, and Lorey, shared their excitement about continuing Harley and Ivy’s adventures, joking about the numerous NDAs they had to distribute before the announcement.

In addition to the renewal, Max has announced a spin-off titled “KITE MAN: HELL YEAH!” Set to debut in 2024, it will feature Kite Man and Golden Glider as they open a bar near Lex Luthorโ€™s Legion of Doom.
