Hell’s Paradise dub release date
An anime adaptation of the Hell’s Paradise manga was initially announced in the 8th issue of the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine that was published on January 25, 2021. During Jump Festa 22, the first trailer for the series was officially unveiled to the public. The series is being animated by studio MAPPA and directed by Kaori Makita, with Akira Kindaichi writing the script, Koji Hisaki writing the characters, and Yoshiaki Dewa writing. The anime series had its official premiere on April 1, 2023, in Japan on TV, Tokyo, and other channels. The series was well received by fans and critics alike and is currently airing on a weekly basis, every Saturday, in Japan and, thanks to Crunchyroll, around the world via simulcast.
Back in November 2022, Crunchyroll announced that it had obtained the streaming and broadcasting rights for the series outside of Japan. The series began its simulcast broadcast on April 1, 2023, around the world, with the episodes airing every Saturday in Japan and globally, thanks to Crunchyroll’s simulcast of the series. But, the version people have been able to watch every Saturday was the original Japanese version with English and subtitles in other languages, depending on where you actually are. That meant that a dubbed version of Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku was not available when the series began airing, despite the fact that Crunchyroll had greenlit a dubbed version of the show.
But, as of April 13, 2023, we’ve finally gotten confirmation that the Hell’s Paradise dub will premiere on Saturday, April 15, at 9:30 PM globally. This was a great piece of news that made fans happy, as it meant that the dubbed episodes would be released with a two-week break in relation to the original episode’s release date.

Hell’s Paradise Plot
Hell’s Paradise was written and drawn by Yūji Kaku. The series was published from January 22, 2018, to January 25, 2021, on the Shōnen Jump+ platform of the publisher Shūeisha. Shūeisha also released the chapters in tankōbon, with the first volume released on April 4, 2018. A total of 13 volumes have been released. We don’t know which part of the manga the first season of Hell’s Paradise will adapt, but we’ll bring you an overview of the plot so you know what to expect on a general level.
The young ninja Gabimaru from the village of Iwagakure is one of the best in his guild. But after being married to the clan chief’s daughter, he wants to give up killing. On the next mission, he is betrayed and sentenced to death. Despite his protestations that he wants to die himself, his ninja techniques thwart any attempted execution. Executioner Sagiri Yamada Asaemon eventually discovers that love for his wife keeps Gabimaru in this world.
She proposes a new mission to earn a pardon: south of Japan, the island of Shinsenkyo has been discovered, which is said to contain the elixir of eternal life. The Shogun wants this for himself and has already sent five expeditions, but none have returned. If Gabimaru can bring the elixir to the Shogun, his life will be spared. So the ninja is sent to Shinsenkyo along with Sagiri as his guardian. But he’s not the only doomed man who has agreed to the deal. Nine more have been sent with their guards and are now – besides the dangers of the strange land – to compete for the elixir.
