The Green Goliath has received some of the greatest and most significant storylines in Marvel Comics’ history, making the Hulk one of the company’s most well-known and lasting superheroes ever. Additionally, the contrast between Banner and Hulk had some psychological depth, which the fans loved.

However, let’s face it, the MCU never did the Hulk justice. Ed Norton’s first film had a strong beginning, but after Mark Ruffalo took over, the role deteriorated. Although he had his moments, the fans never wanted to see that version of the Hulk, as it was too watered down when compared to the epic versions from the comics.

But, it seems that Marvel is working to remedy that. We’ve had rumors about World War Hulk being adapted into the MCU, and a recent batch of rumors confirmed Maestro could also debut in the MCU. Could he? Well, a popular insider claims that Marvel is preparing for something BIG involving the Hulk.

To start it off, we want to stress that this is still just a rumor that has not been confirmed by Marvel, so take it with a grain of salt, but the source we are relying on is a very reliable one and he is generally correct with his theories and rumors, so the fans have something to hope for.

The source we are talking about is Alex Perez, who regularly posts his rumors and information on the Cosmic Circus, and who has now responded to the following question on X:

And here is the answer:

The rumor leak he is referring to could be the one revealed in his most recent Q&A, where he revealed the following:

BraveFire: Hi Alex! Do you have anything to share with us about Hulk (World War Hulk, Hulk’s rights, his future like his next appearance or his role in the Avengers movies)? I know you teased us something about him last month on Hulk, but you were waiting for it to be verified.

Alex Perez: I still haven’t been able to corroborate the rumor just yet, waiting to hear back, but the rumor involved Maestro appearing soon.

BraveFire: What is the next version of Hulk/Bruce Banner after Smart Hulk likely to see the light of day in live action (Savage Hulk, Joe Fixit, green Skaar Hulk…)?

Alex Perez: Maestro

Now, we don’t know if all of this is connected, to be honest, but it does seem that Marvel is working on giving us a proper Hulk story. Maestro could be the big thing Perez is referring to, but in all honesty, if the big plans for Hulk remain in one animated episode of What If…?, then Marvel will still have to do better by the character as the fans want a better live-action Hulk as well.

Giving us one animated episode definitely won’t be enough to remedy all of that, which is why we’re hoping that there is more there to expect.
