Marvel’s Eternals is going to be (well, sort of) the MCU’s first outing into the larger cosmos of Marvel’s universe, a world whose primary creator was the legendary Jack Kirby. There are a lot of speculations about the movie, with one of them being about Harry Styles, and will he (and as who) appear in the movie.

There has been no official confirmation related to Harry Styles’ involvement in the Eternals movie. He is not on any official cast list and the only thing we have are a few deleted tweets and online rumors, which suggest that he might be playing Starfox, Thanos’ brother.

In the rest of the article, we are going to tell you everything there is to know about Harry Styles’ possible involvement with the Eternals movie, including whether he’s in the movie and what role he could be playing. Finally, we are going to tell you a bit about the character that he is, according to rumors, going to play in the movie.

Is Harry Styles in Eternals?

It all started with a Tweet.

In September 2020, journalist Justin Kroll stated that Don’t Worry, Darling was Harry Styles’ first acting gig after his role in Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed movie Dunkirk. Starring opposite Florence Pugh (Little Women, Black Widow), Harry Styles is confirmed as one of the main characters in Olivia Wilde’s new film. All’s fine, right?

Well, at that moment, podcast host Kris Tapley posted a reply to Kroll, saying the following: “Second if we’re counting the Marvel movie no one knows he’s in.” WHAT!?

That was back in September last year and today, rumors are still quite present. Tapley has since deleted his Tweet and Marvel Studios hasn’t confirmed (nor denied!) this, despite fans demanding to know whether Styles is going to be in the movie.

Harry Styles is primarily known as a member of the former boy band OneDirection and a singer, but he has since started acting and already has several roles in his career.

The official cast list doesn’t even mention the name Harry Styles, but Richard Madden, one of the stars of the Eternals movie, has said that there are some still-unannounced castings for the movie. This means that, if the rumors are true, Styles’ involvement has been planned since the beginning but that Marvel had decided to keep it a secret for some unknown reason.

Of course, fans have gone completely wild but we still don’t know very much, really. Harry Styles could be a good choice for Marvel and he certainly does fit the profile of a young star Marvel likes.

He has also worked with Christopher Nolan, and knowing how meticulous Nolan is and what a perfectionist he is, we are quite certain that Nolan would not have hired Styles, even in a relatively unimportant and supporting role, had he not proven his acting skills to him.

In that aspect, we can be quite optimistic about this. The main problem with the rumor is that months have passed since it first appeared and there has been no further news about this. Such news usually break in Hollywood and there have been a lot of false rumors surrounding Marvel’s projects recently (just remember the Mephisto and Doctor Strange rumors during WandaVision’s run).

Now, the pandemic has pushed the Eternals away from the spotlight so that might explain the lack of any official news regarding Harry Styles, but now that the movie’s premiere is approaching, we cannot wait to see whether the rumors were true or not.

Who Could Harry Styles Play in Eternals?

Rumors rarely stop at just a name, at least when movie casting is concerned. This is why we also have some information on Harry Styles’ potential role in the upcoming Eternals movie.

As the rumors suggest, Harry Styles is playing Thanos’ brother, Starfox in the Eternals movie. As far as pure visuals go, Harry Styles is a great choice for Starfox and he has that vibe that makes him look quite authentic as a potential fan casting. As far as his role, he is probably not going to have a major role in this movie so Harry Styles could certainly make it work.

The problem is that we don’t even know whether Starfox is going to appear in the movie or not. Usually, there are confirmations about a role, but not the actor, but in the case of Starfox, we don’t know anything.

From a purely logical standpoint, it would make sense to include Thanos’ brother in this movie, even if in a very small capacity, but whether Marvel is going to do it or not, well – we’ll just have to wait and see.

Until then, here are some information about Starfox so that you know what to expect.

Who Is Starfox (Eros)?

Starfox, whose real name is Eros, was created by Mike Friedrich (text) and Jim Starlin (text and art). His first appearance was in Iron Man #55 as a short cameo, with his real debut in Captain Marvel #27, where he helped the Avengers and Mar-Vell fight Thanos.

Eros is the son of Mentor, a member of the race of Eternals who emigrated to the satellite of Saturn known as Titan. Brother of the mad Thanos, he was completely different from him, both in appearance (Eros was born with a human aspect) and in personality: Thanos is shady, violent, treacherous and cruel, Eros cheerful and carefree.

He later became a permanent member of the Avengers while Roger Stern was writing the stories, in Avengers #230. Being a half-Eternal, Starfox is endowed with very slow aging and is endowed with superhuman strength and endurance. In addition, he is able to fly and his body has an invisible aura that allows him to survive in the absence of air for about an hour.

The most peculiar power of his is his ability to stimulate the pleasure centers of the minds of others, able to provide different emotions, from a simple euphoria up to blind love, passing through sexual attraction.
