Is Jujutsu Kaisen Teasing Season 2 With a New Movie Trailer?
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie premiered on December 24th, 2021, ever since being screened in 418 theatres across Japan. The movie continues to break records with over 66 million dollars in 18 days, which brought Jujutsu Kaisen 0 to the rank of the 80-top movie in the history of the Japanese box office. It is still not certain when the movie will premiere in the west, but the team is still working hard, with a new trailer for the movie recently released.
What makes the new trailer particularly interesting is the fact that it shows some of the major points of Gojo’s Past arc, which is a story plot that follows the Death Painting Womb arc featured in the last episodes of season 1. It appears that the team is teasing the arrival of season 2, however, a new season is yet to be officially anno0unced and confirmed, so anything else may be just speculation.
Jujutsu Kaisen movie follows a prequel story that revolves around Yuuta Okkotsu. Yuuta is haunted by the cursed spirit of his childhood friend, Rika, which leads him to Tokyo Jujutsu High. As far as the next arc is concerned, which is potentially the material that will be used for the second season, Gojo’s Past arc goes deeper into the past than Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie.
Gojo’s Past arc takes Gojo and Suguru Geto to a new and important mission, which is the very path unknowingly setting up Geto for villainous ways. There is a third character represented as a silhouette, taking off on a mission with Geto and Gojo, as show in the trailer. Gojo is one of the top favorite characters in the Jujutsu Kaisen series, which means that the second season is surely set to thrill the fans if the team chooses Gojo’s Past arc as the next story plot.
