Is She-Hulk a Movie or a Show? Find Out Here

Marvel Studios keeps on expanding the MCU with the introduction of numerous new productions that seek to introduce new characters. One of the characters that are going to be important to the MCU in the future is She-Hulk, who is Jennifer Walters and the cousin of Bruce Banner. She-Hulk is going to have her own storyline that will introduce her to the MCU. But is She-Hulk a movie or a show?

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is a TV series that was made for Disney+. That means that, unlike some of the other Marvel Studios productions, it is going to be a show that you can stream weekly starting August 18, 2022. She-Hulk follows the same trend of new MCU heroes getting introduced in shows rather than movies.

While there are plenty of MCU movies, it has become a trend for Marvel Studios to use the streaming format to introduce new characters that are going to be crucial for the future of the MCU. This includes She-Hulk, who might become one of the most important Avengers in the future. As such, let’s look at what we know about the She-Hulk series on Disney+.

Is She-Hulk A Movie Or A Series?

The MCU keeps on expanding with the introduction of new characters that are only going to make it a lot more exciting than it has ever been. Of course, during the recent San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios introduced a lot of different movies and series that will come out in the future of the MCU. The announcement included movies and shows for Phases Five and Six, which will be concluded with two Avengers movies.

But while we do know that there will be more characters that are going to be introduced in the future of the MCU, we also know that new characters are going to arrive soon. One such character that is set to become the newest MCU superhero is She-Hulk, the gigantic green alter ego of a lawyer named Jennifer Walters.

Jennifer is actually the cousin of Bruce Banner, who we all know as the Hulk. While we do know that Jennifer turned into She-Hulk in the comics when Bruce gave her some of his blood when she was dying, we don’t know what her origin story will be in her introduction in the MCU. And speaking of her introduction, there are some people who are confused about how She-Hulk will be introduced in the MCU. So, is She-Hulk a movie or a series?

It was already announced from the very start that She-Hulk would be introduced in a series. In fact, earlier this year, Marvel Studios announced that the series would be entitled She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. This title seems to suggest that the series will be exploring not only Jennifer Walters’s transformation into She-Hulk but also her life as a lawyer. And it is going to be interesting how she will balance her life as a budding superhero and as an attorney in a world where superheroes are now regulated.

She-Hulk getting introduced in a series that stars the character herself continues the trend of new Marvel characters getting their own MCU storylines in the form of a series. Before, the MCU shows explored older characters but had a few new characters. However, ever since Moon Knight, it seems like the series format in the MCU is more focused on introducing new characters that star in their own series. Jennifer Walters is the newest character to get that same kind of treatment as she is set to star in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, which will be released on August 18, 2022, exclusively on Disney+.

How Many Episodes Will She-Hulk Have?

One of the things that we noticed about the Marvel Studios series that are on Disney+ is that they don’t have the same number of episodes. For example, WandaVision had nine episodes, but Loki and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have six each. Meanwhile, the newer shows like Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel have six episodes each. So, how many episodes will She-Hulk: Attorney at Law have?

From what we know, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will have nine episodes that will air weekly beginning on August 18. The fact that it has nine episodes (three more than both Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel) means that Marvel Studios is looking to flesh out the character’s backstory well enough so that she could become a bigger part of the MCU’s future.

Of course, this might be due to the possibility that She-Hulk probably won’t appear in some of the announced future Marvel Studios series, as we know that Ms. Marvel will appear in The Marvels. As such, giving her three more episodes will allow She-Hulk to have enough time to tell her story. Of course, the next time we could possibly see She-Hulk is during the Avengers movies that will possibly wrap up the Multiverse Saga of the MCU.

Will There Be A She-Hulk Movie?

While we do know that She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will be a nine-part series that will introduce She-Hulk and allow her to become a more integral part of the MCU heading into the future, there are people who are wondering whether or not the character will get her own movie.

Well, there is still a possibility that She-Hulk will get her own movie somewhere down the line, depending on how well the series and the characters will be received. After all, Sam Wilson, who became the new Captain America during the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, is set to star in his own movie entitled Captain America: New World Order.

That means that there is still a good chance that She-Hulk will get her own movie in the future. However, we don’t know when that will be because Marvel Studios has already announced what seems to be the full slate of the future of the MCU from now until 2026. As such, it is possible that, after the She-Hulk series, the next time we will see the character is in the Avengers movies (Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars) years from now.

From there, it is possible that she will get her own movie, especially if the character is received well enough by Marvel fans. But, as of now, let’s just wait and see how the She-Hulk series will turn out before we make any projections regarding Jennifer Walters and her future as an MCU character.
