Is Thundercat In ‘The Book Of Boba Fett’? (& Who Does He Play)
One of the things that people have noticed about the different Star Wars shows on Disney+ is that they are never short on cameo and guest appearances. We have seen this plenty of times in The Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett takes its cue from its predecessor by showing us plenty of cameo appearances over the past four episodes. One of the newer cameos is from famed musician Thundercat. But is Thundercat really in The Book of Boba Fett, and who does he play?
Thundercat made his acting debut in episode 4 of The Book of Boba Fett in what was a pretty minor part. He played the role of an unnamed mod artist who was responsible for modifying a near-lifeless Fennec Shand with cybernetic parts to keep her alive at the request of Boba Fett.
Even though Thundercat’s role was not really that big for such a renowned personality in the music industry, it was a good start for his acting career, especially considering that he was only supposed to make a cameo in the episode. Nevertheless, this makes us understand what Lucasfilm is willing to do to give us the best cameo appearances possible.

This happened quite early in the episode, as people may have thought that a notable celebrity named Thundercat was actually in the episode. So, is Thundercat really in The Book of Boba Fett?

Who Does Stephen “Thundercat” Bruner Play In The Book Of Boba Fett?
Now that you know that Thundercat is in The Book of Boba Fett and that he is also known as Stephen Bruner, an award-winning musician, who does he even play in episode 4 during his acting debut?
In the early part of episode 4 of The Book of Boba Fett, we saw Boba Fett scouting what seemed to be Jabba’s former palace before he assumed his place as the new tenant of that area. We know for a fact that Fett was planning something, especially after the death of his Tusken Raider tribe at the hands of Nikto Riders during the events of episode 3.
As Boba Fett realized that he could not take on such a heavily guarded palace, he went back to the drawing board and ate dinner with his Bantha. But as he was eating, he saw explosions in the sky far away from his location. When Fett approached the location, he saw Fennec Shand lying on the ground, seemingly dead but was still alive.
Now, if you remember, in The Mandalorian, Din Djarin and a rookie bounty hunter named Toro Calican were tracking Fennec Shand down for her bounty as she is a famed assassin. After cornering Shand, she tried to convince Calican to betray the Mandalorian because he had a bigger bounty on his head.
It seemed as if Calican was now ready to work with Shand to take Din Djarin down for his bounty. However, he shot the legendary assassin in the stomach and left her for dead in the desert. For those who saw that scene, the consensus was that Fennec Shand was dead.
In The Book of Boba Fett, which happens right about the same time as The Mandalorian, Shand was lucky enough that Fett was there to spot her near-lifeless body. Realizing who this person was and that he needed her help for his plot, Boba Fett took her to Mos Eisley in a mod shop.
We saw in episode 3 that it was now common for people to have their bodies modified with cybernetic parts to improve their abilities. And the people who modify body parts for a business are called mod artists.
The mod shop that Boba Fett took Shand’s body to belong to none other than Thundercat, who played the role of an unnamed mod artist in the episode. At first, Thundercat rejected Fett’s request to help Shand. But when the former bounty hunter gave him a price too good to reject, he began working on Shand’s modifications to save her life.
