The second season of I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level is almost here. The anime’s official website released its latest promotional video (see below) and a new key visual, teasing what’s to come. We also get a sneak peek at Yui Ogura’s cheerful opening theme, ‘So⭐️Lucky’, and Aguri Ōnishi’s ending track, ‘Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe‘.

The new season will begin airing on April 5, starting on AT-X at 9:30 p.m.

The story continues to follow Azusa, a witch who spent 300 years living a quiet life and accidentally became incredibly powerful by defeating slimes daily. Her peaceful days are constantly interrupted by adventurers, dragons, and all kinds of quirky visitors. The anime combines humor, heart, and a lighthearted approach to the fantasy genre, making it a fan favorite since its first season in 2021.

For fans of the first season, most of the main voice cast is back. Aoi Yuki reprises her role as Azusa, while Kaede Hondo, Sayaka Senbongi, Minami Tanaka, and others also return to voice their characters.

However, there are some big changes behind the scenes. Kunihisa Sugishima is stepping in as the new director, replacing Nobukage Kimura. Studio Teddy is handling animation this time, taking over from Revoroot. Hikaru Kodama is the new character designer, and Naohiro Fukushima is now supervising the scripts. Here is what it is going to look like:

The anime’s first season was streamed on Crunchyroll, which also handled its English dub. We can expect Crunchyroll to handle this season similarly. The series is based on Kisetsu Morita’s light novel, first launched online in 2016 and later published by SB Creative. It has also inspired a manga adaptation and a spinoff novel about a demon bureaucrat.

If you’re into laid-back fantasy stories or loved the first season, this new season looks like it’ll bring more laughs and magical chaos.
