Jared Padalecki Would Appear in 'The Boys,' But Only Under One Condition

We know that both Supernatural and The Boys are among the most popular fantasy series of all time. And while these two series have only little in common in terms of their plots and settings, they are connected by one person – Eric Kripke – who created Supernatural and is the showrunner of The Boys. Kripke’s trademark stylistic elements are present in both shows, and they are among the things that make them both so great. But there are other aspects that connect these two shows, and one of them is the fact that they share some actors, as many Supernatural stars have appeared in The Boys.

Jensen Ackles is, of course, the most notable actor who has appeared in both shows, but we also know that Jeffrey Dean Morgan became part of that list in Season 4. On the other hand, Jared Padalecki still hasn’t made an appearance in The Boys, despite the fact that many fans have been calling for his inclusion. The actor has now confirmed his desire to appear, but he has one specific condition.

As stated, many Supernatural stars have appeared in The Boys, including Jensen Ackles, Nathan Mitchell, Adrian Holmes, Christian Keyes, Jim Beaver, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and more. And while not every major name from Supernatural made an appearance, Jared Padalecki, who portrayed Sam Winchester in Supernatural, is certainly the biggest name not to have made an appearance.

Fans have been calling for Padalecki’s inclusion – even in the form of a cameo – in the series, and it seems that Kripke is listening to the fans, as he has seemingly reached out to Padalecki about a possible appearance; this has been confirmed by the actor himself, so you can take it as a reliable piece of information. So, will he do it?

Well, we have some good news, as Padalecki himself has confirmed that he is open to appearing in The Boys, but the 41-year-old father with three kids has one specific condition that has to be met before he actually does make an appearance, and here is what he said:

And my response to him 90% of the time is, “Dude, I’m 41 now with three kids. I’m not 25 and working out three hours a day. I know you’re going to fucking make me get naked, so give me a heads-up. I’m in, but let me get a nutritionist and a trainer and get in the hyperbaric chamber for eight months before you make me show up.” But yeah, it would obviously be a lot of fun to see Kripke again and to work on that show, which is a great show that I’m a fan of.

So, the gist of this is: that Jared Padalecki will appear in The Boys if he is given enough time to prepare for the role physically. This seems like good news in our book, so we’re looking forward to it!
