Bruce Springsteen, “The Boss,” is one of the best rock singers in history. A pioneer of rock music, Springsteen has contributed to several subgenres of rock, with his music and his lyrics portraying the life and troubles of the “common people” in the United States. And while his music is undoubtedly majestic, his lyrics generally had a social note that made him stand out among the tough competition in the rock music market. Now, when Hollywood is actually making a lot of musical biopics (Elvis Presley, Amy Winehouse, Bob Marley, Freddy Mercury, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, to name a few), the time has come to make a film about Bruce Springsteen as well, and we already have some interesting casting updates.

The movie is going to be titled Deliver Me From Nowhere and will actually focus on the process of making Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska, which means that it will portray both the musician and his longtime manager, Jon Landau.

The movie has been acquired by 20th Century Studios, now a branch of Disney, and 20th Century Studios president David Greenbaum said the following about the acquisition:

““It is a once-in-a-lifetime honor to be collaborating with Bruce Springsteen, an inspiring and incomparable artist who represents so much to so many. The deep authenticity of his story is in great hands with my friend Scott Cooper whom I am thrilled to be collaborating with once again.”

Scott Cooper, who is known for directing the musical drama Crazy Heart, will be directing the movie, as well as writing it. The movie is going to be based on Warren Zane’s book Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska, which tells the story of the album and its making. The album was initially expected to be a much larger project involving E Street Band, but was ultimately a solo album made on a four-track recorder. Springsteen and Landau will be collaborating on the project, which is scheduled to begin filming this autumn.

We already know that Jeremy Allen White is going to be portraying Bruce Springsteen in the movie, and we have now received information that Succession star Jeremy Strong is in talks to portray Lanau in the movie. We don’t know if he’ll eventually agree to be part of the film, but we hope that he will, as we’re certain that he would be an amazing addition to the movie. This is all that we know about the cast of the film. No release date has been given either.

And this is what we have for you at this moment. The movie seems promising and we will be keeping you up-to-date with all the news and information, so keep following us for more!
