Jiren’s New Transformation Is so Terrifying It Potentially Makes Him Stronger than the Gods of Destruction

Fans of the late Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball franchise are probably focused on Dragon Ball Daima at the moment, but that doesn’t mean that it is the only aspect of the franchise worth considering at this moment, as you might assume. Namely, interesting things are going on in the video game universe, as you will soon see.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is one of the most popular Dragon Ball video games and despite the fact that it was released back in 2016, it constantly keeps getting new story DLCs, and one such DLC is the topic of this report, as it changes the games for one of the franchise’s strongest characters.

Namely, as you will be able to see in the video below, Jiren, one of the franchise’s most intriguing characters, is getting a new power-up that could potentially make him as strong or even stronger than the Gods of Destruction, and fans of Dragon Ball will know how big of a deal that is.

In case you’re not familiar with the story of Xenoverse 2, it follows a group known as the Time Patrol, composed of Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, and more, but they are alternative versions of the characters we know.

The game has introduced numerous interesting narrative and conceptual moments to the franchise and it seems that Jiren is finally getting his moment under the spotlight.

Jiren, in case you don’t remember, is an antagonist and anti-hero from the series who becomes one of Goku’s rivals during the Tournament of Power saga. He is, in fact, a powerful warrior from Universe 11 whose power is so immense that it can rival that of his universe’s gods. Ironically, while a villain in the main series, he is a defender in his own universe.

Jiren’s power is known to fans of the series, as he is certainly considered to be one of the most powerful characters created by Toriyama, but before we continue, take a look at this:

As you can see in the video, Jiren – as if he weren’t already strong enough – gets another major power-up and becomes even stronger in the video game, which means that Goku has to – once again – rely on Ultra Instinct to defeat him. But, while this would usually cut it in Goku’s case, given Jiren’s new power-up, it is not a given that Goku will win.
