Jordan Peele is undoubtedly one of the most talented and important filmmakers of today. Although he was initially known as a comedian because of his Key & Peele series, he has since evolved into a complex and versatile filmmaker who is able to blend horror with strong social commentary. Get Out, Us, and Nope are the movies he directed, but he also produced several other major hits and also worked on the short-lived revival of The Twilight Zone. Now, while we do know that Peele himself is working on a new movie, while we’re waiting for more updates on that movie, we have more information about his next project, a movie he is producing!

The movie we are talking about is going to be directed by Justin Tipping, who has some experience with movies and television, with his most important works being Kicks (2016), Flatbush Misdemeanors (2021), and Joe vs. Carole (2022)

Jordan Peele’s next personal project was confirmed a while ago, and it was originally slated for a December 2024 release, but it was pushed back due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, which paralyzed the whole industry for a certain period of time, leading to the postponement of many projects. The planned movie is still in the works, but while we’re waiting for more information on that project, we can report on Peele’s other ones.

Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions is producing Tipping’s upcoming movie. It is going to be a football-themed psychological horror that will focus on the story of a legendary quarterback tasked with training a rising young athlete, who comes to train on the former’s isolated compound. The movie was initially titled GOAT, but it has now been confirmed that the title of the movie is going to be Him. Okay, we know it’s not Peele’s film, but the guy really does like his short titles, doesn’t he?

Marlon Wayans has been cast in the role of the legendary mentor, while the young, rising star will be played by Tyriq Withers. Alongside them, the film will also feature Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, comedian Jim Jefferies, as well as hip hop phenomenons Guapdad 4000 and Grammy nominee Tierra Whack, both of whom are going to have their cinematic debuts in this movie. The screenplay was written by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, creators of the sci-fi series Limetown.

The movie has also received a release date, which is scheduled for September 19, 2025. This gives everyone enough time to prepare, so we expect the movie to be interesting and we are definitely going to keep you up-to-date, which is why we think you should keep following us here on Fiction Horizon!
