Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Flaunts Its Theme Song in the New Trailer

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie premiered as expected on December 24th in Japan, while the international fans will need to wait for the movie to be released worldwide. Since the pandemic started, not many films were premiered at midnight. Jujutsu Kaisen was screened on 58 public screens across Japan.

It was originally planned that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie is premiered in only 14 theatres in Japan across 28 screens in Aichi, Tokyo, Osaka, Hokkaido, Fukuoka, Miyagi, and Kyoto. The tickets were all sold out on the first day of the premiere, which is why the number of screens increased. For instance, TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku planned to screen the movie on two screens, but eventually expanded to eight as the tickets were sold out in minutes.

The film also got IMAX screenings while the film opened on Friday, December 24th, 2021. The first viewers of the movie who bought the tickets also got a Jujutsu Kaisen 0 booklet. The number of booklets is limited to 5 million and will be distributed while the supplies last. The story begins with Yuta Okkotsu and Rika Orimoto. The premiere in Japan was seen by 15,000 people at midnight.

Yuta Okkotsu and Rika Orimotu are best friends and have promised to marry each other when they grow up. Everything changes for Yuta and Rika when Rika dies in a car accident and becomes a vengeful spirit of a special level. Rika won’t let Yuta alone, causing him problems in this prequel story. Gojo will convince Yuta to enroll in Jujutsu High so he could deal with his curse.
