It seems that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is not losing on its relevancy and popularity in Japan after 21 days of screenings across 418 theatres in several cities in Japan as the movie ranked up on all-time top-earning movies in Japanese box office. Since its debut on December 24th, 2o21 when the movie was firs premiered in Japan, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 broke multiple records for the year, while recently becoming one of the top 100 grossing films in history of Japanese box office.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has surely set up a standard for future anime feature films while surpassing earnings of the last year’s top-grossing movie Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon a Time. Jujutsu Kaisen movie passed the milestone of 8 billion yen, making it the 75th top-grossing movie of all times in Japan and in history of Japanese box office. Previously, the 75th place was help by the movie Harry Potter and the Half0Blood Prince.
By far and concluded with January 13th, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 earned over 69 million US dollars with nearly 5.9 million tickets sold in three weeks. The movie might soon surpass the total earnings of the last year’s top-grossing movie, which would be 10 billion yen.
