With the latest results, Jujutsu Kaisen joined the list of the top 100 highest-grossing movies in the history of the Japan box office, while the movie is still being screened across Japan. It is expected to see the same interest among the fans in the West and in English-speaking countries. As season 2 is yet to be announced and the series is yet to be renewed for another season, Japanese fans can enjoy the movie that features a prequel story of Yuuto Okkotsu.
Yuuto is haunted by Rika, his childhood friend who he promised to marry. Rika haunts the young man ever since the day she died in an accident and returned as a cursed spirit. Yuuto will have to learn how to fight cursed spirits and deal with his own demons as well once he joins Tokyo Jujutsu High.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie topped the Japanese box office already in the first weekend of the premier, earning over 23.5 million dollars, and is continuing to entertain the Japanese fandom 18 days from the day of the premiere.
